A goal driven life
Reason - Culture
Thursday, 30 August 2007
I live a very simple and generally happy existence. I have a decent job, wonderful friendships, a great family and live more than comfortably.

But I've of late noticed how I gleefully and passively allow my life to happen. Rather than actively pursuing goals and dreams, my life has taken on characteristics of a plastic bag dancing in the wind or bottle drifting far out at sea; allegorically poetic, sure, but winds stop and bottles get lost.

I've decided to make a list; the Life Coaches' and self-help gurus' key stone: a list.

Read more to watch me gain wings, get a propeller and charge forth into a destiny of my own choosing. The attentive will note how this post gains me a personal gold star

Happy New Year
Memories - Traveling
Sunday, 31 December 2006
E.E. and I took a road trip this first week of 2007 to meet my sister and parents and enjoy a romantic New Years Eve. Our first stop, for New Years, was the Sofitel Lafayette Square in Washington D.C. It was close to my sisters and looked cozy. I booked a suite, but a humble suite. When we got to our room we realized that the generous staff at the hotel upgraded us upon check-in. We never left the room - the Presidential Suite. It was amazing. Equally amazing was the service provided by Fasil - a bell hop at the hotel who went to great lenghts to ensure our stay was pleasureable. Follow this link for pictures of our incredible accomodations.

A thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. Success and failure are for him answers above all.
